Coldplay由四个二十岁出头的年轻小伙子组成，1996年时在UCL（University College London）四人相遇，两年后决定合组此乐团。从Coldplay的歌曲中经常能体会出一种忧郁的感觉，这是因为主唱注入了无限伤感情绪的原因，动人的嗓音唱着温柔的旋律。
